Room clean food ok. Very friendly staff. Shower not so good. Small very little room to move and really quite slippery when wet.

Spotlessly clean, right in the centre of Kendal, great breakfast and Linda, the owner is a fabulous host. Secure, private parking is another bonus to this great hotel. If you're looking for good, old-fashioned hospitality, this is the place to stay. Would highly recommend.
We wanted centrally located hotel accommodation in Kendal and found Highgate Hotel online. We are Hikers and were pleased to find out Highgate Hotel cater for walkers and have the required facilities. Even though its centrally located the hotel has parking, which is also free. The room was spacious and clean, the food was also excellent. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Kendal, which is a base location to explore the south lakes.
