The staff are friendly. The hotel is very dated. Bedroom in desperate need of some attention. Breakfast was very tasty
Every thing was ecelent. Staff where very curtious and helpful room was clean and tidy will decently stay again.
Brilliant location opposite the train station, staff very friendly, however it went downhill from there! On arrival we went to our room and there were no towels/toiletries, the bathroom light kept flickering and going off, no soap dish in the shower, the shaving mirror light did not work nor did the heated towel rail, also the cups were dirty, the lady on reception came with soap/towels and replaced the light bulb but it still kept going off and I had to go down to reception to get clean cups, the strip light above the bedroom window started to buzz after being on for a short while, it was so noisy we has to use just the wall lights also the wall by the bin was filthy. Our room wasn't cleaned until very late in the afternoon because they were short staffed. The maintenance man came the next day and sorted the bathroom light and put up a soap dish in the shower but said they would need an electrician to sort the strip light/shaving light and heated towel rail but said 'if he ever turns up' which he didn't! Our bed was made today/bin emptied/cups swilled out, however our shower/sink/bathroom bin had not been touched, the breakfast was ok. The hotel in general is very shabby/dirty and is in dire need of refurbishing/deep clean and the carpets upstairs are revolting, definitely not worth 85 per night!
Needs a lot of money spending on it to bring up to 2018 requirements. Staff a lovely.they deserve better. Spend the money
