This is a really fantastic place - it is the best and most helpful tourist information office we have ever been to.We came to Kendal for a week to explore the Lake District as we are so glad we stumbled into this great shop. Sarah and some of the many volunteers who run it gave us really brilliant local advice which shaped our whole trip. We were helped to plan trips to lakes, mountains and, unexpectedly, the seaside in fine detail - down to bus times. We also found out about the many nice pubs and restaurants in Kendal. Some of the walks we found out about here were not on established tourist routes or in guidebooks, but were really very nice.We also found that the staff in this shop really were very nice people who showed a genuine interest in us and our activities, which we really appreciated.They also offer a free left luggage service, which was invaluable for us on our last day.This is a great tourist information staffed by passionate local volunteers and we highly recommend it!
