Staff here are absolutely amazing. I came with people who have learning differences and needed some extra assistance, they went out of their way to help. The museum is awesome, lots of interesting things to see, it's quirky and informative. Absolutely love it.
Fantastic collection here but get in quick as I hear a lot of it is moving elsewhere. The range of animals and birds is marvellous for such a small museum, brilliant for artists and those studying animal forms.
Went here to see the Heroines exhibition as part of the Lakes comic art festival last Friday and had a look round the rest of the museum afterwards. Was taken aback by huge quantity of taxidermy animals there as well as mineral collection. The lady at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful and thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Brilliant local history hub been visiting since early age, many intresting objects. Brilliant for kids of all age. Nice place nice staff well worth a visit.
