Fantastic place. Stayed here on a few occasions. Really nice hotel and amenities. Restaurant is absolutely amazing. Love this place
Myself and my husband have stayed at Castle Green many times over the last 8 years. We keep going back because of the excellent place that it is. From arrival, check-in up until checking out, we enjoy every minute of staying there. Staff, cleanliness, room, food, atmosphere etc are all fantastic and make our stay even more chilled out and enjoyable so thank you to you all
Amazing staff. Good food, especially at Alexander's. I was a little disappointed in my room on this particular visit. It was a bit cheaper than usual but felt a little claustrophobic and quite overlooked. The tea and coffee selection was much less inspiring than 'upstairs'.If you can afford to pay for a better room this is a great place to stay.
Friendly helpful staff and decent rooms. The pool, steam room and gym are of a good standard and size for a hotel. Breakfast wasn't of the standard I'd of expected for a hotel of the 4 star rating the hotel has but the evening meal and wine I had in the restaurant was excellent although quite expensive. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Kendal but has some nice small walks around the hotel gardens. The hotel loses at least a star for my review for the poor breakfasts and the pricey menu.
Overall, a very good hotel. Everything was clean, properly maintained and well presented. The food was great - we had breakfast and meals from the more affordable lounge menu.
