My experience of them is that they dont treat visitors to this part of the UK from other parts, especially black people very well. I have also found they defend and protect corrupt, racist, dishonest, crooked, abusive, manipulative, health damaging and threatening local Cumbrian solicitors and their staff, which points to corruption in my view. In June 2016 I travelled from London to the Grange-over-Sands area for five days, which was my first time in that part of England. I arrived on Monday evening, but by Wednesday I had been wrongfully arrested by police from Kendal Police Station. I was possibly the only black man in the almost all-white town of Grange-over-Sands at the time. I was arrested at the Main Office of wills and probate solicitors Gedye & Sons, an all-white English firm who have expanded to London in offices at 15 Old Bailey, where all the staff are also white English. I was taken to the station in rigid, restrictive and uncomfortable handcuffs, that I have never seen the likes of before and that held my arms rigidly apart, like an African slave, where I was held for about 24 hours before I was released. I was arrested for simply visiting the main offices of this firm, which took over my late mothers estate behind my back and without my consent, even though my mother made me an executor in her will. The deceitful joint owner/director of this firm has moved to London, where he fraudulently and abusively manipulated my removal as an active executor of my mothers will behind my back, by having a Grant of Probate issued in my crooked British Transport Police brothers sole name, according to his wishes, without informing me of this. This senior solicitor, who was previously based with the firm at Grange, invited me, through his Probate Manager, to meet with him at his office in London, as an executor, but instead of helping, advising and informing me, as he had previously done with my brother, as soon as he shook hands with me, before he had even sat down, he threatened to remove me as an executor! I was shocked and outraged and I asked him why he was talking to me like that! He and his Probate Manager invited me under false pretences and he spent the whole hour seeking to persuade me to step down, when he never told me he was going to do that. It was an ambush! This Cumbrian solicitor blatantly lied to me in order to get me to step down and he took advantage of me instead of helping me, which is against Solicitors Regulation Authority rules. He also pushed me into signing a dishonest statement typed by him, which was highly detrimental to me, but advantageous to him. When I reported this to the City of London Police, they told me what he did was FRAUD! When I visited the main office of Gedye & Sons at Grange-over-Sands in June 2016 and asked to speak to the other owner/director, who had previously told me I dont want you to feel Im not available, he stormed out to reception to meet me shouting Get out of here, you! Get out now! Youre trespassing! He took my backpack and threw it out of the reception area on to the concrete outside, even though I asked him not to as it contained expensive electronic equipment. I dont care! he told me. Straight after this completely unwarranted hostility and aggression he phoned Cumbria Police and told them I had refused to leave. After he threw my backpack outside I decided to wait to report his actions to the police, but I shouldnt have trusted them because when they came, they arrested me after speaking to him, and to each other privately, without checking what he told them with me at all. PC 2291 even told me, Just because you have a problem with what the firm has done to you, doesnt mean they have done anything wrong. Thats just your view. That was outrageous! It is corrupt collusion between Cumbrian solicitors and Cumbrian police. I, the victim, was treated like a criminal at the police station. They threatened to forcibly take my DNA, photo and fingerprints. They didn't let me contact the Nigeria High Commission even though I had the right to.
