Parking is atrocious. Tiny car park. People parked on grass banks and in places that aren't spaces. Even parked blocking people in. Ticket machine doesn't give change so lost money in the already expensive machine. Other than that it's a standard nhs building...flaking paint and a long wait

Would like to thank the team on day surgery for there lovely kind care and thank Sue especially ( even found me a bourbib biscult). Lovely clean and well cared for hospital, NHS at it's best

i would like to thank all the doctors nurses paramedics and staff at the A and E for looking after me on the 11/09/18 chris( compound fracture of ankle) the care and treatment you gave me was impeccable a credit to your professions calming me down the pain relief, i had my op in preston royal its a bad injury so the recovery will be slow,as i am housebound as soon as i get on my feet a box of goodies is heading your way, again thank you all god bless......CHRIS

Thank you again Kendal Westmorland Hospital. This morning I had to contact my hip specialist at Westmorland Hospital. I expected all sorts of problems getting through to my consultants secretary, but not to be. There were no problems at all and Leanne was ultra kind and helpful over the telephone and sorted my enquiry immediately and with total efficiency.People consistenly moan about the National health service and local hospitals but to me they really are an ungrateful lot. Think how things would be with an alternative system and whether you would be able to afford the treatments they would need. I have had many treatments at Westmorland Hospital in Kendal and I am so grateful for the level of service I have experienced. I had my left hip replaced, the whole process was fantastic from the word go, my consultant and his theatre staff were wonderful, my 5 day hospital stay on ward 3 was so friendly, comfortable and professional, plus the food was excellent.Previously I have had a cataract removed from my left eye and a new lens fitted. Again my half day stay was excellent and the preparation and aftercare was just brilliant. I have had tests and treatment for allergies, again very friendly and professional.I have also had steroid injections in my back and hips in the operating theatre, many visits to outpatients, visits to the GP unit for cuts, stitches and general problems. Generally I have not had to wait long to be seen, but even if I had, I am well aware that others there may have more urgent needs.I always ask my GP to refer me to Westmorland because it is so good in my experience and will always be the hospital of my choice.

I've been going to this hospital now for some time whilst having dialysis. I was scared about the going the first time but once I met the staff, all of whom are very dedicated and made the whole process less stressful. Wonderful staff each and everyone of them including the support staff. I thank you. Mac#
