A constant frustration to visit (in fact I will no longer be visiting):- There are rarely enough full checkout staff.- The self service experience is rarely staffed well enough or with staff trained to an acceptable standard in being attentive or competent with the machines. - Some cards do not work contactless. This is a major chain that has not updated the software on its POS systems to adapt - the cards in question work flawlessly at all other supermarkets in Kendal and in any other establishment. - Complaints are generally countered with excuses and no acceptance of responsibility from management. - The store looks tired and the car park especially has a main walkway for which youd best be advised to bring bubble wrap to protect your glassware and other breakables when wheeling a trolley across it. - Price reductions for items near-use by dates are poor in comparison to other local supermarkets. - Apple Pay and similar is limited to 30 - at most other supermarkets even ALDI its not limited when using a type of secure payment service. - The store has no full access to the on-site fuel station. Not for the first time I have recently been unable to receive a receipt due to machine error and the basic issue of paper running out (at more than 1 pump). - 1 star because the fuel price is competitive.

Standard full English, eggs were better than average, coffee is good as always!
The caf could be better and the staff are unfriendly and rude, but the store itself is pleasant and well laid out with clear labelling. Staff here are much more approachable and helpful.
