Wow, this is a proper hidden gem for any art lover. It's not massive but it's high quality. The wife, the boy and me spent half an hour drawing stuff, an activity put aside for the kids and I found it quite therapeutic. I'll defo keep my eyes open for further exhibitions.
A very special place, Kendal is lucky to have it. Great to wander about in. When we went there was an exhibition of Grayson Perry tapestries; absolutely beautiful. Thoroughly recommended.
Abbot Hall represents one of the main venues to see significant art exhibitions in the area. The building is a wonderful space and backdrop to some very fine art. The talented team there are always friendly and helpful and their knowledge is always on tap.We always look forward to the next exhibition or even just to relax in their cafe whilst in Kendal.Keep up the good work!
A fabulous Toys from the past workshop for our young children today. Great venue, lovely resources and guide. Would definitely recommend it.
